Overture: A Piece of music at the start of a musical introduction
33% Kingsley Vineyard – 67% Curtis Vineyard – Alc/vol: 13.2 – Ph: 3.38
This refreshing summer juice is a result of a combination of two awesome vineyards. Kingsley Vineyard, in the heart of Santa Ynez Valley, tends to develop at a slow rate, preserving bright acidity I look for in the Sauvignon Blanc varietal. This is cofermented with Curtis Vineyard located in Los Olivos, which lends more ripe characteristics to the vineyard blend. These vineyards were picked at the same time, and cofermented in steel tanks. Bright, crisp, and clean, this Sauvingnon Blanc takes on grapefruit, honeysuckle, and white peach, with a little grassy notes to lend the long finish.
PAIRS WITH: This wine is a laidback, easy drinking white that still holds a ton of complexities that blend well into one groove. I would pair this with the 60’s and 70’s funk-groove band The Meters: a fusion of funk, rock, and rhythm. It would be wise to share a bottle (or to yourself) with The Meters, the very best of the Meters. Preferably enjoyed outside.
